2020 Nissan Rogue is going to be Nissan’s next product in the crossover SUV in the North American market. It is anticipated that there will be improvements from the previous model.
2020 Nissan Rogue is the latest addition of the Nissan crossover SUV. It is going to be the third generation of the model, after the first that was released in 2008 and the second was in the market from 2014. The Rogue is the North American version of Nissan X-Trail that is sold in Japan and Asia which makes the X-Trail as the predecessor.
The second generation model itself has been redesigned to the 2016 model with upgrades on the features in the car. It is likely that the 2020 Rogue will have three versions of the car, like the 2016 type, namely the S, SV v, and SL version. The difference of the three versions is the features added to the car, with the SL version as the most expensive one compared to the other two.
Although the 2020 Nissan Rogue is not yet to be confirmed yet by Nissan, but the emergence of Nissan X-Trail Hybrid in Japan on October, 2015 at the Tokyo Motor Show can confirm that the North American version of the car may be going to be released within the next couple of years. Hybrid is now all the rage in the European and North American market because of the global warming issue.
Using the Hybrid version of the X-Trail as the reference, it is expected that the latest Rogue will have Hybrid too under its hood which will accompany the 2.5 L four cylinder engine. It will result in the output of 170 horsepower and produce 175 pound-feet torque. With the Hybrid intact, it can bring about the maximum of 200 horsepower. It will also be equipped with continuously variable automatic transmission as its transmission in the gearbox with the addition of an Intelligent Dual Clutch Control.
The improvement of the powertrain will make the car looks bigger than its predecessors. However, it will not affect the performance of the car as it will be equipped with intuitive all-wheel drive that makes it easier to control the car on-road or off-road. The exterior itself would not have much difference with the previous model of the same name, with its three variants, the S which is the standard, SV and SL as the high end variants. So does the interior, with Nissan Navigation system, Around View Monitor, Siri Eyes Free, and leather seats are equipped inside of the 2020 Nissan Rogue.
As for the price, seeing that the standard 2016 Nissan Rogue is priced about $24,000, the SV is $25,000 and the SL is $30,000. The price of the standard version of its successor is estimated around $25,000 to $40,000 when it is released to the market. Therefore, there is no official confirmation yet, late 2016 or early 2020 are predicted to be the time when the Japanese car manufacturer will release the 2020 Nissan Rogue.
